Laredo bridges — CBP dogs sniff out nearly $3 million in cocaine in two tractor-trailers
CBP officers at the Colombia Solidarity Bridge stopped a tractor-trailer on August 21 and found about 80.7 pounds of cocaine after a canine alert; three days later at the World Trade Bridge, officers opened a trailer manifested as "car parts" and found roughly 141.5 pounds more. Combined, the two loads came to about 222 pounds of cocaine worth nearly $2.97 million, and Homeland Security Investigations is now working both cases.
