Soldiers from the Fourth Division and Seventh Brigade stopped a tractor-trailer in Puerto Gaitán, Meta, on October 8 and found 1,198 kilos of cocaine. Two people were caught in the act; the government links them to the Amazonas bloc's 39th structure, a dissident faction attributed to alias Iván Mordisco.
A joint Guadalajara and Madrid operation turned up about 2,775 kg of a substance that field-tested positive for cocaine at a rural property, plus smaller loads in a hidden-compartment car and a truck trailer. Eight people were detained and seven jailed; officers also took four assault rifles and €28,000 in cash. Raid dates were not given.
A patrol and surveillance flight spotted a blue vessel in the Pacific south of Huatulco, and the Navy seized 46 bundles weighing roughly 1,268 kg. Six people were detained, and the load was taken to Puerto Chiapas. Security chief Omar García Harfuch announced the result.
Officers chased the vessel on October 11 between Punta Mala and the Coronado estuary; the crew abandoned it and fled. Authorities say the count is still running and the haul could pass three tonnes, and they are hunting the occupants.
At Don Diego port, 203 packages were found in a false floor of a trailer bound for Puerto Rico after a ten-hour search, and one man was detained. At Punta Cana, 25 packages in a suitcase headed for Paris led to the arrest of a 34-year-old Dutch citizen. DEA and other agencies supported; weights await forensic analysis.
