South Florida sheriffs arrest 20-plus people in a ring hiding cocaine in California-to-Florida freight trucks
Palm Beach County deputies, the Office of Statewide Prosecution and Broward and St. Lucie sheriff's offices served warrants over the weekend after a case opened in March, taking at least 45 kg of cocaine plus oxycodone and fentanyl pills. Investigators say the trucking firms were unaware of the loads, and a suspected supplier allegedly claimed to receive 50 to 60 kg every 15 days; more arrests are expected.
